National Youth Model United Nations is returning with its third session with opportunities for a much larger number of Sri Lankan youth who are willing to make a difference, on the 29th and 30th of September, to engage the youth of Sri Lanka, the aspiring leaders of tomorrow.

Join us in a three-phase program seeks to create an inclusive society of youth who are empowered to be part of the decision making processes that will drive our nation forward.

What is MUN?

Model United Nations (MUN), is a simulation of the United Nations in which participants take on the role of young diplomats and debate multiple aspects of foreign policy.

National Youth Model United Nations (NYMUN) is returning with its third session with opportunities for a much larger number of Sri Lankan youth, between the age of 14-30, who are willing to make a difference, on the 29th and 30th of September, to engage the youth of Sri Lanka, the aspiring leaders of tomorrow.

The Vision

  • 2016

    NYMUN was founded to serve two notions, to provide the young people of our country an opportunity to engage and learn the art of diplomacy and conflict-resolution.

  • 2017

    NYMUN 2017 was a successful attempt to access different sets of knowledge, skills and attitudes, into a platform where the University student can live the experience of a diplomat.

  • 2018

    This year our team will strive to take the spirit of NYMUN to the village.

  • 2019

    NYMUN’s Inter-provincial dialogues for a better and more inclusive engagement of the Sri Lankan Youth.
